Duties include: answering phones, greeting clients, client intake, drafting routine correspondence and documents, accounting, and general office management. A great candidate will be a "multi-tasker," able to withstand the many interruptions that come with the territory. The ability to prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters expeditiously and proactively is essential for the job.
Expert level in Corel WordPerfect and/or Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc), Adobe Acrobat is vital. Knowledge of Quick Books Pro or similar accounting program is a must. Law firm experience is a plus. The candidate must have the ability to use the latest technology while regularly learning emerging improvements/upgrades.
Great communication, organization, and time management skills are required. Strong preference will be given to those who have prior experience supporting attorneys in a legal environment or law firm. The candidate must also possess a strong sense of integrity and positive attitude.
