Experienced Family Law Attorney
We are a fast-growing law firm seeking an experienced family law attorney to provide high-quality representation of our clients in a wide range of family law matters. The ideal candidate has experience working with a team of paralegals and managing case files to ensure timely resolution and progress for clients.
The successful candidate will be located in West Houston or near our office in the rural town of Bellville, Texas. Most court hearings will take place in surrounding rural counties and occasionally in the Houston area. We value talented employees and encourage professional growth and leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to identify marital and non-marital assets and liabilities, developing strategies for fair property divisions that benefit clients.
- Develop case strategies for clients seeking custody or modifying custody, gathering evidence to effectively advocate in court or mediation.
- Be familiar with the Texas Family Law Practice Manual and supervise drafting pleadings for various family law matters.
- Attend court proceedings and participate in mediations as needed to represent clients.
- Collaborate with the owner and paralegals to efficiently move files through the litigation process.
- Provide excellent customer service with regular status reports and case reviews.
- Consistently track time spent on case matters and offer improvement recommendations to team members.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of family law experience in and out of the courtroom.
- Bachelor's degree and J.D. degree required.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations.
- Able to take cases to trial when necessary but appreciate the value of pursuing settlements beneficial to clients.
- Ability to work with and delegate to a paralegal team.
- Comfortable advocating for custody for men and women equally.
- Licensed to practice law in Texas.
