Job description
The Law Office of Erika N. Salter, P.C. is seeking knowledgeable and committed immigration paralegals to join a group of highly committed and dedicated legal professionals who provide exceptional service to clients daily. The individuals selected for this position must be able to communicate in English and Spanish, both written and verbally. The ideal candidates will possess the following qualities:

· Respect confidentiality and discretion regarding personal information.
· Give full attention to detail with a positive, upbeat attitude.
· Use care and creativity in dealing with non-compliant clients.
· Be dependable, highly motivated and a self-starter who appreciates the freedom to work without being micromanaged.
Job Duties:
- Manage a sizeable immigration caseload which includes immigration court applications, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, employment authorization document (EAD), initial and renewal, Citizenship/Naturalization applications, and many other USCIS applications or petitions.
- Organized files by establishing critical deadlines and adhering to them consistently.
- Possess a keen understanding of the critical attributes to meet the needs of clients with the end goal in mind-legal status.
- Document all actions taken on every case by inputting accurate notes in the database.
- Maintain a close working relationship with clients, attorneys and fellow coworkers in an interdependent fashion through calls, emails, text messages or letters.
- Stay abreast of current trends through being knowledgeable of USCIS changes or updates by DHS, as well as participate in other educational opportunities.
- Uphold the overall mission of the organization by adding value while appreciating being valued by the employer through incentives, bonuses and promotion in pay.
Qualifications
- Paralegal experience completing USCIS applications
- Proficiency in INSZoom or similar software
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Experience with document review and case management
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
