We are seeking a skilled Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Paralegal to assist attorneys and clients in addressing trustee objections to Chapter 13 plans. The ideal candidate will have excellent phone skills, attention to detail, and experience in bankruptcy law.

Compensation:$45,000
Responsibilities:- Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
- Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
- Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documents.
- Assist attorneys in preparing responses to trustee objections.
- Draft and review legal documents related to Chapter 13 plans.
- Maintain case files and track deadlines.
- Liaise with trustees, creditors, and court staff as needed.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education
- Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Must reside in Georgia.
- Prior experience in Chapter 13 bankruptcy preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficient in legal research and case management software.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
