The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A. is a Plaintiff’s Personal Injury firm which has more than 30 heavily experienced attorneys who specialize in trucking accidents, automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, and premises liability cases such as slip and falls, and we also have attorneys representing clients in criminal law and family law matters. The Position: We’re looking for motivated HR Professionals that have extensive experience working in the legal field. The pay will be commensurate with experience, and opportunities for bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Paycor HRIS with all relevant information.
  • Oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes.
  • Interview qualified candidates for legal roles.
  • Coordinate, and improve on, our evaluation and compensation process.
  • Advise management on legal and compliance issues.
  • Ensure firm policies are communicated and adhered to.
  • Reliably communicate with the Firm's owner, team lead and supervising attorneys, HR Team, Operations, and Bookkeeping.
  • Assist with writing policies and procedures.
  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include resignations, terminations, and extended leave of absences.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Experience required:

  • 5 years of HR Experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in HR Management or a related field preferred.

  • Proficiency with Paycor HRIS
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Understanding of HIPPA
  • Understanding of FMLA
  • Positive attitude
