Job Summary
Five-attorney law firm seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the firm's daily operations, human resources management, office management, and people management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the firm functions efficiently and effectively, by implementing plans for business growth and managing staff appropriately.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Office management – oversee staff, office maintenance, IT, and purchasing
- Handle all hiring needs of the firm, including recruiting, posting, interviewing, and onboarding
- Manage all firm’s employees, including daily tasks, training, and performance
- Conduct weekly meetings with firm’s teams (reception, criminal, immigration)
- Attend weekly executive management meetings
- Process client requests for files
- Create and execute operational policies and procedures
- Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures
- Conduct strategic planning to improve productivity and efficiency
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics
- Collaborate with all departments to coordinate processes
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes
Required Skills and Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, JD a plus
- Proven track record in business development, strategic planning, and process improvement
- Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on metrics
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Work effectively with diverse personalities
- Passion for growing and developing talent
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational skills
- High level of professionalism
- Ability to work autonomously with little direction while creating and meeting goals
- Proficient with technology to troubleshoot issues and interface with IT vendor
- Advanced expertise with Outlook, MS Office, Clio or other CRM
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal department a plus
