One of Orlando’s leading immigration law firms seeks a highly motivated immigration attorney looking for a genuine growth opportunity. We are a volume practice and expect a successful candidate to speak excellent Spanish, as well as be licensed by the Florida Bar. Applicants should have a minimum of 1-3 years experience in removal defense and family based immigration. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to manage a large Immigration Court and USCIS caseload;
- Desire to make appearances at all master calendar and merits hearings;
- Ability to appear at adjustment of status and citizenship interviews;
- Ability to write motions to reopen and appeals with AAO, EOIR, BIA and write I601A waivers and other inadmissibility waivers;
- Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines;
- Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and seek direction from managing attorney if needed;
- Maintain a high level of communication with all clients;
- Oversee the work of paralegals in case preparation work;
- Assign and prioritize casework and projects as needed;
- Train or retrain Immigration Assistants and Paralegals;
- Establish and maintain casework quality and consistency throughout the office;
- Liaise with other attorneys in the firm and share all information regarding case preparation;
- Maintain accuracy to high volume, rapid turnover caseload;
- Participate in other office projects as assigned;
- Correspond with the client and the individual employee during the intake process;
- Assist clients / employees with technical issues in completing the questionnaires and submitting documents;
- Guide clients and employees through the intake process, enlisting client services as needed.
