What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plaintiff Personal Injury Lawyer position at Law Office?
This is not a 60 or 50 hour a week job. Candidate will be expected to work 40 hours a week and no more. We are looking for a motivated, experienced Personal Injury Lawyer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of personal injury law, exceptional client service skills, and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Representation: Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from intake to settlement or trial, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients.
- Legal Research & Documentation: Conduct thorough legal research, prepare case filings, and draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents.
- Court Appearances: Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials as needed.
- Negotiation: Work with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties to negotiate settlements that reflect the full value of the claim.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and ensure they are informed throughout the legal process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys and support staff to strategize case developments and ensure high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California
- 3 years of experience in personal injury law (candidates with more experience are highly encouraged to apply).
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, including torts, liability, and insurance claims.
- Proven track record of success in personal injury cases, including settlements and trial victories.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate, client-focused approach to legal practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in handling cases involving automobile accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and workers' compensation.
- Multilingual skills a plus.
