What are the responsibilities and job description for the Law Clerk- Personal Injury position at Law Offices of Gene J. Goldsman?
Busy and well-established Plaintiff's Personal Injury/Civil Litigation law firm seeks a highly motivated FULL TIME Law Clerk to assist in interviewing new clients, drafting complaints, drafting case management statements, preparing defaults and default judgments, researching the law, and assisting in other legal tasks. Collaborative work environment with opportunity to advance.
Applicant should have a genuine interest in the law and helping others, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment. The applicant must be people-oriented, with a "customer comes first" attitude. It is typical for law clerks to travel throughout southern California to interview clients and attend occasional appearances with an attorney (mileage reimbursement is offered per current IRS rates).
Minimum Requirements To Be Considered For The Position:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfortable presenting cases in front of firm attorneys and clients.
- Full professional proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, or Vietnamese preferred, although not required.
- Vehicle with valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
We have a well-equipped office in Santa Ana's Civic Center, one block away from the Central Justice Center. Following a probationary period of 90 days, benefits include: health insurance, paid parking, vacation pay, and holidays.
