As our Litigation Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to advocate for clients who have been injured. The ideal candidate will support attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, conducting research, drafting discovery requests, and gathering data from client files. Additional responsibilities include scheduling depositions, communicating with experts, maintaining case files, and handling various ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and citation checking of legal documents
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, courts, and opposing counsel
- Prepare documents for filing in both state and federal courts
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
- Manage and calendar court deadlines
- Propound and respond to discovery requests
- Maintain organized case files
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in civil litigation (Personal Injury)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of e-filing procedures and California rules
- Familiarity with California discovery rules
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate is a plus
