Associate Attorney

Job Overview
Defense civil litigation firm seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney with 2-5 years experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various in civil litigation/ injury. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work on diverse legal matters in a collaborative environment. Admission in NY and NJ preferred but not mandatory.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and client needs.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions with precision and clarity.
• Assist senior attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation throughout the legal process.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
• Collaborate with team members on pending cases; case law.
• Utilize legal research tools such as Westlaw to gather relevant information for cases.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal drafting and research methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Civil litigation.
• Familiarity with Court rules a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and colleagues professionally.
• Experience with legal administrative tasks is beneficial.
