What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Malpractice Attorney position at Law?
We are collaborating with a reputed medical malpractice and insurance defense law firm who has been representing doctors and healthcare providers for more than 50 years. This hybrid role in central LA provides the opportunity to represent and support general acute care hospitals, specialty surgical centers, teaching hospitals (both public and private), long-term care facilities, as well as individual physicians and nurses.
Responsibilities:
- Represent healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical professionals in medical malpractice litigation.
- Manage cases from inception to resolution, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Take and defend depositions of expert witnesses, medical professionals, and other relevant parties.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar License in good standing.
- 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice defense, professional liability, or healthcare litigation.
Salary: $140k - $180k Bonus
