Job Description
Lawrence Paper Company is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a IT Support Specialist. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, driven, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while also being able to work as part of a team. We are looking for a skilled IT support specialist to provide fast and effective support. The ideal candidate will be required to respond to queries in person, via email and over the phone to assess and diagnose hardware and software problems as well as provide basic computer training, modify hardware systems, install computer peripherals and perform basic hardware maintenance.
Job Requirements
- This is an on-site position, not remote or hybrid
- Hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and research skills that translate to the ability to find resolutions
- Able to work with a team or independently
- Have general networking, mobile device, and hardware knowledge
- Knowledge in Office 365, Adobe, and Windows systems
- Flexibility to regularly rotate through different technical specialties and skill sets
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the first contact for users who need technical assistance via the phone or email or in person
- Prioritize, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
- Gather information and redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Keep record of problems and their resolution
- Follow-up with users
- Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve
- Maintain technical documentation for the installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of personnel as it relates to hardware and software systems
- Assist in larger projects
- Achieve and maintain 5S compliance in the workplace
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking
- Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Requires some travel
- Must occasionally work in a noisy and hot environment
