QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree.
- MA DESE License Mathematics, 5-8.
- MA DESE SEI endorsement preferred.
- Ability to teach all levels of secondary math courses.
- Knowledge of curriculum design and development.
- Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks and Subject Matter Knowledge.
- Such other quali?cations as the Superintendent of Schools may deem acceptable and appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop daily and long-range plans for each course taught relating them to the needs of the students and the district and state learning standards.
- Implement a variety of instructional techniques to ensure student engagement and achievement.
- Implement the school and department’s grading and reporting policy. Keep accurate and appropriate grading and attendance records.
- Develop e?ective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Develop and implement curriculum objectives based on the learning standards of the state curriculum frameworks.
- Evaluate each student's progress in mathematics skills and understanding.
- Communicate with parents and counselors about the progress of individual students.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior.
- E?ectively manage classroom operations.
- Accept supervision and guidance from the Department Head and Principal.
- Continue to grow in the position through attendance at meetings, conferences, seminars, through readings in professional literature, and through enrollment in college or university courses.
- Accept assignments in other areas for which trained or licensed.
- Such other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal and/or Department Head.

SALARY: In accordance with the FEA Unit A Contract
