Overview
One of our current Cleaning Technician's has taken a new position within the organization. Which opens a great opportunitity for someone new to join the team. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible in assisting the clinical staff by providing quality patient care by keeping the facility clean and Sanitary. The Cleaning Technician will have duties assigned that may include: Organizing equipment and supplies in all mop closets and housekeeping supply rooms, Maintaining SDS on cleaning solutions, responsible for keeping all containers labeled, assisting with OR turnover, and other duties as appropriate for the Technician's level of skill and training. The Cleaning Technician will work closely with the OR & PACU Charge Nurse's and is under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. This role is crucial in providing a safe and pleasant environment for patients and staff alike.
Duties:
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, Operating Rooms, PreOp & PACU bays as well as common spaces.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company policies.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Report problems or issues to supervisor promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial role in a surgery center or acute care hospital is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Mental & physical health sufficient enough to perform tasks efficiently during shift.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
- BLS Certification w/in 6 mo of hire date
- Previous experieince in a surgery center or acute care hospital preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
