Bookkeeper
Lawson Development & Construction Corp. is a locally owned small business founded in 2011. We specialize in construction, general contracting, real estate development, remodeling, property management, construction management, leasing, maintenance, and real estate investment. We are currently hiring a part time Bookkeeper to work in our Hummelstown, PA office. This position will report to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
· Perform general ledger accounting functions, including financial statement preparation using QuickBooks.
· Post payroll journal entries for 401(k), retirement funds, health insurance contributions, and wage garnishments.
· Manage the financial close process, including year-end preparation, tax filings, and 1099 preparation.
· Track permits for construction and buildings as well as vendor subcontractor agreements.
· Organize subcontractor insurance certificates.
· Interface with property managers and leasing team for rent collection, tracking security deposits, and various vendor payments.
· Assist with preparing leasing reports.
· Utilize AppFolio to update tenant records, rent payments, security deposits, and other payment information.
Requirements
· We prefer an associate degree or bachelor’s degree but will consider a high school diploma.
· Minimum of two years, hands-on experience.
· QuickBooks experience highly preferred along with proven software proficiency.
· PA Notary Public or willingness to become one upon hire.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
