What are the responsibilities and job description for the Government Sales Account Manager position at Lawson Products?
The Government Sales Account Manager maintains and pursues contractual relationships with strategic federal civilian, state, local government and other publicly funded entities. They are responsible for achieving sales quota by creating alignment with field sales, designing and implementing sales programs, and identifying opportunities for growth in the southeastern United States. Duties and Responsibilities :
- Establishes productive relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
- Provides consistent communication on all activities within the region with our sales leaders.
- Works cross-functionally in the organization to meet account performance objectives.
- Builds and executes a sales plan within the assigned accounts and regions.
- Builds a robust pipeline of opportunities while maintaining current accounts.
- Meets quotas and other key sales objectives in assigned region.
- Assesses customer needs proactively; delivers quarterly and annual business reviews.
- Performs business intelligence reporting and analysis at the account, district and region levels and identifies clear action plans to address opportunities and challenges.
- Acts as a coach and is able to educate field sales counterparts on their role and involvement in the public procurement process and government sales cycle.
