The Operations Lead is responsible overseeing the daily operations of our Taproom, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our Taproom operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and upholding our brand standards. The Operations Lead will report to the Taproom Manager and regularly collaborate with the rest of the Hospitality Leadership Team.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Taproom, including regular procedures (e.g., opening/closing, draught line cleaning, etc.), ensuring creation of, and adherence to, SOPs
- Design and execute a welcoming and memorable experience for all patrons, maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction
- Manage Taproom staff scheduling, timesheet review and approvals, and overall performance
- Supervise and motivate Taproom staff while fostering a positive work environment and ensuring quality standards are met
- Provide timely and effective feedback for all Taproom staff as needed
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, shipping, stocking, and monitoring levels of beverages, glassware, and merchandise
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, alcohol service laws, health codes and company cleanliness standards
- Support the Events & Education Lead, events team, and marketing teams to execute Taproom events, tastings, and promotions to drive customer engagement and sales
- Assist in managing budgetary guidelines, tracking expenses, and maximizing profitability through efficient operations and labor distribution
- Other duties as assigned including cross-functional support within the hospitality department
Requirements & Expectations:
- Based in our Waitsfield, VT headquarters
- Highly organized with demonstrated proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office software
- Retail point of sales system (Toast) knowledge and experience highly preferred
- Knowledge of safe work operations, safety policies and procedures including sanitary handling of beverages, food and potentially hazardous chemical and materials
- Willing to work holidays, nights and weekends as a regular work schedule
- Thrive working independently and demonstrate a positive personality
- Physically capable of a variety of duties including (but not limited to) repeated lifting of 50 pounds or more and extended amounts of physical activity with prolonged standing and talking
Compensation:
This is a full-time, exempt position and starting pay will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time-off, paid holidays, profit sharing, and company medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans among others.
