Job Description:
We are looking for Water Meter Technicians to join our team in Baytown, Texas. In this role, you will handle the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of water meters for both residential and commercial properties. Ideal candidates will have experience with water meters, familiarity with plumbing systems, and excellent attention to detail. Training will be provided for candidates with related experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, replace, and maintain water meters for residential and commercial clients.
- Read and accurately record water meter data.
- Diagnose and repair issues with malfunctioning meters.
- Conduct field tests and inspections to ensure accurate meter readings.
- Maintain records of all work performed, including installation and repair reports.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to water usage or meter readings.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to local water utility regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in water meter installation and repair is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and tools is beneficial.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a daily schedule.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Work Conditions:
- Field-based position with travel throughout Baytown and surrounding areas.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, perform physical tasks, and work in confined spaces as needed.
