Position Description:
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records through reconciliation, preparation of various financial reports, and providing support to the accounting team. The role requires a disciplined attention to detail and accuracy. The Jr. Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting and work closely with the rest of the accounting team.
Primary Duties:
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and bank statements
- Support month- and year-end close processes
- Manage Accounts Receivables
- Support Accounts Payable staff
- Prepare and file state tax returns
- Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements
- Sales commissions tracking and reporting
- Assist with external audits
- Maintain company records
Experience & Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status
