As a Pipe Crew Foreman at Layton Services, your role will immediately lead and manage a crew in the installation of pipe for underground utility systems while supervising and coordinating daily job site operations including, but not limited to, safety, production, job costs, labor and operation of heavy construction equipment.

As a Pipe Crew Foreman at Layton Services, your role will immediately lead and manage a crew in the installation of pipe for underground utility systems while supervising and coordinating daily job site operations including, but not limited to, safety, production, job costs, labor and operation of heavy construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a crew in the installation of storm, sewer and water underground piping systems.
- Read and interpret civil plans, cut sheets, and specifications.
- Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Coordinate various inspections with specific municipal departments per project location.
- Coordinate daily job-site materials and trucking as needed.
- Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other job site personnel.
- Maintain and enforce job-site safety in the highest regard.
- Maintain accurate job site records and daily reports.
- Proactively maintain job schedules and budgets, provided by others.
- Minimum 3 years experience in underground utilities, excavation, or related field.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of pipe laying techniques, trench safety and excavation procedures.
- Familiarity with an iPad, email, daily recording construction software, etc. (on-the-job training provided).
- Certifications (can obtain once hired): OSHA 30 and OSHA Trenching and Excavating.
- Higher Pay (negotiable upon individual experience and skills)!
