PIPE CREW FOREMAN

5,001 Sign-on Bonus

Negotiable Hourly Pay Range $35 / HR to $45 / HR

Summary of Pipe Crew Foreman : Ability to immediately lead and manage a crew in the installation of pipe for underground utilities while supervising and coordinating daily job site operations including, but not limited to, safety, production, job costs, labor and operation of heavy construction equipment.

Responsibilities :

Lead and manage a crew in the installation of storm, sewer and water underground piping systems.
Read and interpret civil plans, cut sheets, and specifications.
Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
Coordinate various inspections with specific municipal departments per project location.
Coordinate daily job-site materials and trucking as needed.
Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other job site personnel.
Maintain and enforce job-site safety in the highest regard.
Maintain accurate job site records and daily reports.
Proactively maintain job schedules and budgets, provided by others.
Train and mentor crew members as needed.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Experience : Minimum 3 years in underground utilities, excavation, or related field.

Skills : Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Knowledge : Understanding of pipe laying techniques, trench safety and excavation procedures.

Other Knowledge (Preferred) : Ability to efficiently operate an iPad for email and other job site recording software (can learn while on the job).

Certifications (Preferred) : OSHA 30, Trenching and Excavating (can be obtained once hired).

Physical Requirements : Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
