The Spirit of the Position : The Closure Agent documents and records all information from posted meter closures throughout the City of Chicago.Principal Job Duties : - Photograph City signs which close a metered parking spaces. - Record information from City signs to determine the length and time of a closure. - Complete a Closure form documenting all Closures discovered throughout the City. - Verify permits provided by the City are compliant with the number of spaces obstructed. - Measure in linear feet how much parking is affected by the closure or obstruction. - Report any issues found as field discoveries to Central dispatch. - Follow all LAZ Parking procedures for field operations. - Other related duties as assigned.Requirements : Education : - High school diploma or GED required.Experience : - Experience in General Labor - General knowledge of City of Chicago streets.Skills : - Ability to communicate professionally and effectively. - Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. - Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view. - Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. - Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement. - Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands : - Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. - Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds. - Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time. - Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
