The Spirit of the Position :
The National Proposal Development Director will lead the Proposal Development Team as they support business development efforts with the complete oversight of the development, production, and submission process of complex proposal documents. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the National Proposal Development Director will support the programs and initiatives originating from multiple Service Lines and Business Development Teams within the company including Government Services, Airports, Transportation, Healthcare, Hospitality, Universities and Major Event Venues. This position will initially report to the Vice President of Government and University Services and the Vice President of Airports and will also support the National Director of Marketing and other leaders within the company.
Principal Job Duties :
- Manage all assignments, employee productivity, and deliverables, for the Proposal Development Team.
- Evaluate Request for Proposals (RFP's); develop requirements matrix, assign tasks to team members and prepare initial response outline.
- Communicating with home office on all proposal needs regarding bonds, certificate of insurance, tax forms, etc.
- Develop and manage timelines for the production and delivery of proposals.
- Organize, manage, and participate in proposal development coordination meetings with Service Lines and Regional business development teams.
- Oversee the development and on-going maintenance of a proposal content library, which will include all approved proposal content, references, and historical submitted proposals and supporting documents.
- Create and organize new content, charts, graphs and images used for proposals, marketing, and presentations.
- Maintain client references and contact information.
- Prepare required forms as required per RFP and obtain required signatures.
- Oversee the final production of proposals, including the coordination of all printing and binding, developing specific tabs, labels, binder covers, etc.
- Manage shipping and delivery of proposals and presentations or the online electronic submission process as required per the RFP.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations and other materials as needed to support marketing, communication, and business development efforts.
- Archive and maintain all proposal materials, documents, and records after contracts are awarded.
- Maintain registrations and access to various procurement websites and systems.
- Support marketing and communication efforts including developing content for various printed and on-line publications. These efforts may include content for websites, social media posts, case studies, or industry articles.
- Order and manage supplies and process invoices.
- Draft correspondence letters and manage internal and external communication.
- Must be available during evenings and weekends to support business demands and to ensure deadlines are met.
