The Human Resources Business Partner, Home Office reports to the Senior Manager, Human Resources in establishing and meeting professional and compliant employment practices for 200 Home Office employees. This role functions as the taskforce leader for HR projects in the field and subject matter expert on national systems, programs and policies.
Principal Job Duties:
Administers HR policies, procedures, and programs in the Home Office with direction from the Head of People Culture and the Vice President of People Culture.
Responsible for understanding, interpreting, administering, and mediating all forms of inquiry that arise relating to HR in the Home Office with support from the Senior Manager, Human Resources.
Responsible for supporting full cycle recruitment for professional positions in the Home Office.
Coordinates new hire orientation for the Home Office on a monthly or more frequent basis.
Educates managers in the Home Office with appropriate guidelines on maintaining a legally compliant workplace.
Supports the development and retention of high-potential talent to support the Home Office’s continued growth.
Facilitates and resolves policy and employee relations issues.
Creates and supports a positive work environment through collaboration with the LAZ Parking Fun Committee
Maintains compliance with state and federal laws in regions by updating forms, policies and procedures as needed.
Participate in the development and management of HR related policies for the organization.
Manages leaves of absence including FMLA, disability leaves and others as needed in coordination with the Benefits and Payroll teams.
Collaborates with the payroll team to ensure pay data is completed and uploaded properly and works with managers to ensure proper wage and hour compliance.
Maintains employee data and records in the HRIS system.
Delivers and manages safety, wellness and health, employee communications and learning/talent development programs for the Home Office.
Drives annual benefits open enrollment and responds to inquiries ongoing related to employee benefits.
Leads performance management programs, including coaching and counseling.
Manages workers compensation for the Home Office, including reporting claims and adhering to company process with claims reporting and back-to-work programs.
Leverage analytics, data and reporting to drive results.
Others related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred but not required.
Experience:
3-5 years Human Resources experience with proven results in a multi-site environment.
Strong employee relations, workers compensation and benefits experience.
Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws.
Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems.
Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and general Microsoft Office Applications.
