Position Overview

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, selection, packaging, loading, and shipping of products. The role requires strong organizational skills to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality service to customers, and smooth coordination between warehouse and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary certifications for equipment and machinery are maintained and up to date.
• Foster clear and ongoing communication with sales, yard staff, and other departments to support operational efficiency.
• Monitor and control costs by improving personnel productivity, optimizing storage space, and safeguarding materials.
• Advise on warehouse and material handling equipment needs, including recommendations for replacements.
• Enforce company policies regarding conduct and safety, taking necessary disciplinary actions when required.
• Investigate the causes of product losses and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Lead a team responsible for product tracking, route analysis, and making re-routing recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Oversee the management and operation of the organization’s vehicle fleet and facilities.
• Develop and implement effective routing strategies that meet schedule constraints while optimizing resources.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively to meet company goals.

• Arrive on time and prepared for work as per the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
• Participate in company and location meetings to stay informed on organizational updates and objectives.

Education/Experience

• Warehouse Management: Proven experience in managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes.—preferably in the waterworks or construction industry.
• Leadership: Strong background in leading and supervising teams, with the ability to motivate, train, and manage staff effectively.
• Equipment Handling: Familiarity with warehouse machinery and equipment, with a focus on maintenance and safety protocols.
• Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, with experience enforcing workplace safety policies.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and reduce losses.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.

Prior experience in a similar warehouse or logistics management role is preferred.
