The responsibilities of the Assistant Head Pro will involve supporting the Head Golf Professional and Golf Operations Manager in all aspects of golf operations and management.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and portray the VIVAMEE Values.
- Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
- Opening and closing of the Pro Shop
- Organize and maintain the Pro Shop areas (Pro Shop, Locker Room, Driving Range, Carts and Cart Barn area, Retail)
- Collecting Greens Fees from each golfer.
- Assist in planning and executing golf events, tournaments, and lessons.
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests by engaging with them on the course and in the pro shop.
- Help manage the golf course operations; including monitoring pace of play, course setup, and overall golf course functions.
- Assist with enforcement of golf course policies and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all players.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, rules of golf, and best practices in golf instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional or Golf Operations Manager.
- Weekly attendance at Vivamee Values meetings is required
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree or completion of golf-related programs preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in golf operations, customer service, or teaching golf is beneficial.
- Certifications: PGA Apprentice Program enrollment is often required or encouraged for those seeking to become full-fledged PGA professionals.
- PGM entry level or eligibility preferred.
- Strong Guest and Member service skills and a passion for golf.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of golf equipment, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as a team or independently.
- Previous experience working in a golf course or pro shop is a plus.
- Experience with Spreadsheets, Word documents, Emails, Tee sheets and POS systems
