The role of the Assistant Superintendent is to direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course and to supervise the maintenance and repair of motorized and other mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and portray the VIVAMEE Values.
- Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
- Assisting the golf course superintendent in planning and supervising golf course maintenance including scheduling of work and supervising employees and with the use of the equipment.
- Instructing equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment; supervising pesticide applications and/or operating and calibrating pesticide application equipment; supervising and participating in the operation and maintenance of pumps and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
- Assisting the golf course superintendent in personnel management and evaluation, employee safety, and personnel discipline and may also modify the daily work schedule based on professional interpretation.
- Must be able to lift at least a minimum of 50 lbs.
Authorities:
- Stop work if equipment is not performing as designed, i.e. continuing use of equipment will damage equipment and/or golf course.
- Modify daily work schedules based upon professional interpretation.
- Instruct, supervise, and discipline maintenance personnel.
Accountabilities:
- For effectively executing responsibilities within specified authorities.
- To the Golf Course Superintendent.
