What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Learning Postdoc and High Performance Computing position at LBL?
Lawrence Berkeley National Lab's (LBNL) Applied Mathematics and Computational Research Division has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team.
In this exciting role, you will conduct fundamental and applied research in the use of AI / ML for the generation and transpilation of accurate, distributed memory, high-performance computations on GPU-accelerated supercomputing platforms.
What You Will Do :
- Leverage AI / ML including existing large language models (LLMs) to generate (prompt-based) or transpile (source to source) distributed-memory, high-performance computations targeting GPU-accelerated supercomputing platforms.
- Augment such technologies and techniques to maximize performance and scalability, maintain numerical properties, and enhance readability and maintainability.
- Publish and present research results in high-impact journals and top conferences in the areas of machine learning and parallel computing.
