In this position, you will operate at the private equity sponsor level while managing and growing multiple companies. This unique, fast-track role offers exposure, variety, and responsibilities beyond the typical RCM leader position. Your voice and prior experience will be critical to adding value at both the investment firm and portfolio company levels. You will be digging into the portfolio companies RCM functions. This is a fast-paced role that requires a hands-on, proactive approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of end-to-end RCM including charge capture, coding, billing, cash reconciliation, credentialing, collections, AR, payor contracting, etc.
- Plan, supervise and coordinate reporting, data, and analytics. Ability to work with extracting data from the EMR systems to develop reporting and dashboards for leadership.
- Educate portfolio management and staff on revenue cycle standards and provide timely feedback on KPIs.
- Process and continuous improvement and standardization of workflows for growth and scaling of the portfolio companies.
- Work closely with C Suite at portfolio companies to track trends and issues and assist with special projects related to revenue cycle.
- Monitor the industry for developments in revenue cycle operations, evaluate and implement relevant new tools and service management frameworks.
- Drive integration planning and execution related to RCM for acquisitions and other growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience managing RCM within a PE-backed multi-site, multi-state healthcare provider
- Systems savvy, experience with disparate systems, analytics and operating in a data-driven environment to produce strong reporting and dashboards.
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and other federal and state regulations pertaining to insurance requirements, regulatory reimbursement, patient billing, collections, etc.
- Proficiency in data analysis and using data to drive decision-making.
- A leader who relates well to all levels of individuals inside and outside the organization. He or she must be able to quickly build rapport and effective relationships guided by diplomacy, collaboration, honesty, and emotional intelligence.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and can handle the unexpected with flexibility.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
