Essential Functions and Duties:
- Provide guidance, counsel, direction, support, training and expertise to Quality Assurance and Production personnel
- Set limits for the activities of employees so that the company can proceed toward established objectives
- Formulate the Quality Assurance operations budget
- Accountable to management for the overall performance and success of all department employees
- Review and approve manufacturing and assembly instructions for adequate point of inspection operations and determine appropriate documentation for inspection points
- Assist with the development of finished product and component receiving inspection procedures and requirements for all projects
- Review, verify and maintain quality assurance records
- Participate in the review of design, manufacturing, purchasing, and test documentation
- Participate in all department planning, operational, budgetary and training meetings
- Act as the company Management Representative
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree and 5 years’ experience in related area required
- B.S. Engineering or Management preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or related fields preferred
- Able to demonstrate effective leadership and communications skills in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable in general business and management principles
- Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Able to use analytical and observation skills for comparison of work products to predetermined standards
- Technical knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures
