IT Vendor Manager PM

Hybrid On-Site Tuesday - Thursday located in either Maplewood, MN or Austin, TX

Rate Range : $72-$78 / HR

Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. Researches and analyzes basic and complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of an organization. Makes recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency and practices. Simulates and tests process improvements. Communicates changes and may provide training to impacted business units. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.

This IT Vendor Management role is responsible for managing and overseeing the relationships with the company's IT vendors. This role involves negotiating contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that IT vendor services align with the company's strategic goals and operational needs.

Vendor Relationship Management :

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT vendor-related issues and inquiries.

Facilitate regular meetings with IT vendors to review performance and address any concerns.

Contract Negotiation and Management :

Work with procurement in the negotiation of contracts and pricing with IT vendors to ensure the best value for the company.

Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements.

Monitor contract renewals and manage the contract lifecycle.

Performance Monitoring :

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs for IT vendor services.

Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure IT vendors meet agreed-upon standards.

Address and resolve any performance issues or disputes with vendors.

Collaboration and Communication :

Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and procurement teams, to understand their needs and ensure IT vendor services meet those needs.

Communicate vendor performance and any issues to relevant stakeholders.

Provide regular reports on IT vendor performance and contract status to senior management.

Risk Management :

Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT vendor relationships in partnership with corporate procurement.

Ensure vendors comply with the company's security and compliance requirements.

Develop and implement IT vendor risk management strategies.

Continuous Improvement :

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT vendor management.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in IT vendor management processes.

Skills

Preferred Qualifications :

Proven experience in IT vendor management, preferably with cloud, telecom and hardware vendors.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of IT services, products, and market trends.

Experience with vendor management software and tools is a plus.

Professional certifications in vendor management or related fields (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Vendor Manager (CVM)).

Experience in a similar role within the same industry

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or 10 years experience in IT Vendor Management.
