Job Title: Senior Product Development Engineer – Active Implantable Devices
Job Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire (open to Contract if prefered)
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead the design and development of active implantable products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, focusing on technical execution and managing product development from concept to production. You will drive innovative solutions, ensuring designs meet customer specifications, regulatory standards, and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of new products and modifications, adhering to customer specifications.
- Define product requirements and ensure designs meet regulatory guidelines.
- Develop tests to evaluate product designs and ensure acceptance to specifications.
- Conduct data analysis and propose action plans based on findings.
- Design tooling and test equipment for assembly and testing.
- Prepare project schedules and ensure timely execution of development milestones.
- Serve as technical leader in cross-functional teams, leading technical reviews and coordinating project activities.
- Support production processes, ensuring products meet design, safety, and quality standards.
- Communicate progress to associates and management, supporting both internal and external functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in the medical device industry, specifically with neuro/cardiac leads or active implantable devices.
- Experience with active implantable systems development or manufacturing preferred.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with machining, assembly practices, and materials.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- PPE usage as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $105k –$125k/year, based on experience.
