What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screed Operator - Asphalt Paving Operators position at LCI-Lineberger Construction, Inc.?
LCI-Lineberger Construction, Inc. is hiring paving operators and general laborers for our paving crews. Prior experience in paving construction is required. Competitive pay based on experience level and a 30-Hour Guaranteed Pay Benefit available.
Description of Tasks:
- Operates asphalt paving heavy equipment such as pavers, rollers, screed, etc.
- Performs General Laborer & Traffic Control Tasks
- Shovels asphalt, dirt, stone, etc.
- Works with Lute Rake to move and level asphalt
- Assists on all types of construction jobs as needed
- Clears and prepares highway work zones
- Works safely, wear PPE and notify supervisor of any potentially unsafe situations
- Shows a willingness to learn job site goals and company-wide goals
- Performs any other special projects as needed
Working Conditions:
Physical Demands: Spends majority of the day standing and/or walking. Performs heavy physical labor. Stoops, kneels, crouches, and/or crawls. Frequently lifts and/or moves heavy objects such as tools, equipment, supplies, etc. Must be able to access all levels of a construction site/building/structure, traverse uneven terrain, climb a ladder, and enter and exit from vehicles. Manually operates vehicles, tools and equipment. Communicates verbally and in writing.
