Position Summary:
The Vendor Relations Manager for our Stretcher Transport Network will play a key role in building, managing, and optimizing the transportation network, specifically focused on stretcher transport. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external transportation vendors, fostering compliance with industry regulations, and enhancing the efficiency of our stretcher transport services. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Transportation Vendor Network, this position is responsible for developing a cohesive and scalable network of vendors while ensuring high-quality service outcomes and adherence to standards.

• Transportation Network Development: Build and maintain a robust transportation network, focusing on stretcher transport services. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to create seamless transportation solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
• Vendor Coordination: Oversee and manage all transportation vendors involved in stretcher transport, ensuring smooth communication, coordination, and efficient scheduling. Resolve any issues quickly to minimize disruptions in service.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all transportation vendors comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to stretcher transport. Develop and implement processes for compliance management, audits, and safety standards. Work closely with vendors to address compliance issues and provide solutions.
• Vendor Records and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records for all vendors, including certifications, licenses, insurance, and other critical documents. Ensure that all records are organized and accessible for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Onboarding and Integration: Lead the vendor onboarding process for new stretcher transport vendors, ensuring they meet company standards and are effectively integrated into the transportation network. Provide training and ongoing support to vendors to enhance performance.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams, answering inquiries, educating teams, and resolving any issues related to the stretcher transport network. Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure successful service outcomes.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure that stretcher transport services meet high standards of safety, timeliness, and quality. Work with vendors to implement improvements and resolve any performance issues.
• Project Management: Oversee provider network initiatives and customer/member programs, recruiting and implementing new services in coordination with the stretcher transport network. Ensure the successful execution of projects and programs.
• System Management: Oversee and manage software platforms used for vendor coordination, compliance, and performance tracking. Provide training and guidance to external partners on using system applications and tools.
• Community Outreach and Strategic Partnerships: Lead outreach efforts to build strategic partnerships with key community organizations and vendors, expanding the stretcher transport network and fostering strong relationships to support business growth.
• Claim and Insurance Resolution: Oversee insurance adjuster communications and resolve claims related to stretcher transport, including electronic proof of insurance submissions, accident report handling, and interdepartmental information retrieval.
• Internal Collaboration: Communicate regularly with internal teams and leadership, providing updates on vendor performance, escalated issues, and ongoing projects. Ensure that all teams are aligned in their goals and approaches.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• Education: Bachelors degree or four or more years of experience in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, Relationship Management, or Project Management. Experience in transportation/logistics, specifically stretcher or NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation), is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience in vendor relations, ideally within the transportation, healthcare, or NEMT industry.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of NEMT regulations and compliance requirements, particularly those related to stretcher transport services.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
• Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
• Vendor Program Management: Experience in developing, implementing, and managing successful vendor programs, especially in the transportation or healthcare industries.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, database management, and various communication platforms. Comfortable using technology to streamline processes and improve vendor relations.
