London Computer Systems (LCS) in Cincinnati, OH is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Software Tester to join our team. You’ll evaluate and test software programs to verify that the program functions according to specifications and documentation.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive testing on products, systems, and/or processes to identify potential issues, bugs, or areas for improvement, including functionality, performance, and usability testing.
- Establish benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times.
- Become knowledgeable in both the tested products and the users of those products.
- Create detailed test plans, reports, and documentation outlining testing methodologies, results, and recommendations.
- Contribute to the establishment of standards and procedures for testing.
- Recommend program improvements or revisions to the Product team.
- Review computer logs and reports to identify program processing errors and possible improvements.
- Identify program variances from standards and suggest modifications to conform.
- Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent the recurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with software testing suites
- Prior knowledge of accounting software, database software, design software, development software, and spreadsheet software
- Understanding of databases
- Ability to execute simple SQL commands
- Able to execute automated test scripts using Katalon Studio.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Critical Thinking and Emotional Intelligence is a must
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; and work well in group problem-solving situations
- Ability to work independently, take initiative with projects, and be self-motivated.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile Development, and SCRUM principles.
- Excellent time management skills and organizational skills.
- Prior experience with accounting and/or Property Management software preferred
- Prior programming experience (object-oriented programming language) preferred
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem-solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
