Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will assist the Project Manager in leading project teams in the development of multiple multi-family projects in all phases of construction.
Job Responsibilities in assisting the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the design team in the development of the construction drawings for assigned projects
- Assist with permitting and plan review process including coordination with local utility providers
- Assist in developing the subcontractor and vendor list for assigned projects
- Assist in the management of the bidding process including initial cost estimate, bid solicitation, compilation of bids received, and preparation of the final cost estimate
- Assist in preparing all contracts and purchase orders
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring assigned projects and Project Superintendents in their daily tasks
- When required or requested by Project Manager, interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, equity investors, and lenders
- Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
- Support construction sites in the Bowling Green area to coordinate work on projects as advised by the Project Manager
- Occasional travel to the XDC corporate office, an affiliate of LDG Development in Louisville, KY, as needed.
Job Requirements
- Minimum educational requirement is a bachelor's degree, preferably in construction-management or engineering program; experience in multifamily construction/ LIHTC is highly preferred
- Must Live in Bowling Green, KY, or the surrounding area and be able to drive to job sites in the Bowling Green area.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Demonstrate knowledge of construction safety and represent strong safety values
- Exhibits practical verbal and written communication skills.
- Utilize strong organizational skills
- Experience in Sage, Procore, or similar project management software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
