Job Purpose

The Vice President, Discovery & Preclinical Services will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing and setting the operational / financial goals, strategies and infrastructure for the Discovery business unit. Driving excellence in operational processes, resource management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the organization achieves its strategic goals. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders building and maintaining strategic relationships and recruiting high performing teams to deliver commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide global multi-team people oversight of the Discovery and Preclinical Services (DPS) function to ensure team results align with goals.

• Contributes expertise to high level strategic decisions across global enterprise.

• Oversee the pricing, growth strategy, proposal development, and key stakeholder partnerships in conjunction with the Leadership team to map out strategic areas of growth.

• Budget oversight including budget creation and management of profit and loss.

• Manage Scalability and Profitability across multiple sites (US and UK) ; evaluating strategic partnerships/profitability; evaluating current and potential new offerings.

• Provide Needham, Ma site oversight as needed

• Significant and progressive Global leadership experience in operations within a scientific, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or research-driven environment (imaging, biomarker, or preclinical research)

• Demonstrated success managing and leading Global multi-disciplinary teams

• Experience in financial management

• MBA qualification or equivalent experience

• English: Fluent
