Job Description
The Manager of Engineering will oversee the performance of our electrical distribution network, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- System Evaluation:
- Analyze the complexities of our electrical distribution infrastructure.
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for maintenance and construction.
- Efficiency Enhancement:
- Evaluate load flow, short circuit conditions, and protective relaying with the engineering team.
- Create studies on voltage regulation, arc flash safety, and coordination.
- Future Planning:
- Identify and plan upgrades in response to growing loads and business demands.
Requirements
To be successful, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Experience working with an electrical utility organization.
- A solid foundation in math and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with equipment from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (preferred).
- A valid New Mexico driver's license and commitment to complying with our drug testing policy.
- Knowledge of NERC and FERC regulations, with SPP experience beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
