What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Forklift Operator position at Leachman Lumber Company?
Leachman Lumber Material Handler plays a key role in ensuring on-time, accurate, and safe load building, while providing exceptional service to our customers. Most of this employee’s day is spent pulling loads for delivery.
- Pulls lumber and plywood and other building materials and builds loads for delivery drivers
- Is a certified forklift operator, helping load and unload trucks and rail cars (will train)
- Helps walk-in customers fill their order and load their vehicles
- Stocks bins and racks with appropriate inventory
- Is responsible for keeping his work area clean and organized
- Must be able to lift on average of 50 pounds, and maximum of approximately 100 pounds.
Leachman Lumber is a 100-year-old lumber and building materials dealer.
