Job Location: Miami-Dade & Broward Counties
Purpose:
The Equipment Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the effective preventive maintenance and repairs of all equipment, and for the effective equipment purchasing and rental activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of heavy equipment and vehicle fleet maintenance.
- Strive to minimize equipment ownership costs, while maximizing equipment up-time.
- Coordinate intra company projects heavy equipment pickup and delivery.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and in-house/outsourced repairs.
- Ensure projects are filling out Daily Visual Inspection Reports
- Keep Equipment Utilization Reports updated weekly
- Keep Equipment and Tool Inventory Updated weekly
- Maintain maintenance backlog and coordinate with mechanics
- Monitor vehicle and equipment related expenditures.
- Ensure proper maintenance recordkeeping.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years involvement in Heavy Construction Equipment Maintenance Operations
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Superior communication and organization development skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with the following software:
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Excel
