Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Corps Members. In this role, you will engage in meaningful service projects that benefit the community while gaining valuable skills and experience. Corps Members will work collaboratively with fellow team members to address community needs, promote social change, and foster personal growth. Members will begin September 8th, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in community service projects and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community members to identify needs and develop effective solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, or events aimed at empowering community members.
- Provide 1:1 technology assistance to library staff and patrons to address immediate technical needs and enhance digital skills.
- Offer guidance and support to community members in navigating online resources, enhancing their digital literacy, and ensuring they are equipped to use library services effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local residents, organizations, and community stakeholders to ensure libraries are responsive to emerging needs and continue to serve as integral community resources.
Experience
- Previous experience in community service, volunteer work, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
