Engineering Manager (PE) - Charleston, SC
Description: Are you a South Carolina Certified Engineering Manager (PE) with a passion for mechanical contracting? We are looking for someone to join our dynamic team in Charleston, SC. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead mechanical engineering services for innovative design-build construction projects.
Compensation: $75000 to $110000 per year dependent on experience.
Location: Charleston, SC
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed HVAC load analysis and design comprehensive HVAC systems for buildings.
- Execute plumbing designs for water, drain, waste, and vent systems.
- Develop process piping designs for industrial processes.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and compelling design-build proposals.
- Identify and solicit design-build opportunities from key stakeholders including general contractors, building managers, developers, and industrial plant managers.
- Lead design-build projects to successful and profitable completion.
- Coordinate drafting efforts for the preparation of plans and specifications for design-build projects.
- Assist project managers with engineering needs on ongoing projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- Engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Active Professional Engineer’s license from the State of South Carolina.
- Advanced understanding of commercial and industrial mechanical and plumbing design processes, applications, standards, and codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and engineering/CAD/Revit software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate and industry practices, standards, and codes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen, including negotiation and delegation skills.
- Ability to pass a drug test and a clean driving record.
