Job Summary:
- The DMV/Title Clerk processes and files all in-state and out-of-state title documents to transfer ownership of automotive vehicles for the dealership, under the supervision and direction of the Office Manager and assists with other clerical and administrative job duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process all in and out of state title applications for new and preowned vehicles.
- Processing and tearing down deal jackets, sending out finance paperwork.
- Makes copies of products sold (accessories).
- Assist with accounts receivable collection.
- Entering/stocking in new vehicles to inventory.
- As needed, assist with back-up receptionist duties, including but not limited to operating a multi-line phone system.
- Assist with answering incoming calls in a prompt, polite, professional manner, transferring them to the appropriate person or department quickly.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous title experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent phone etiquette.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Must have a knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures.
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Must be punctual.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task. Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service.
- Must utilize effective time management skills and have the ability to work effectively and productively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a professional appearance and manner consistent with the dress code policy and best practices set forth by the President and General Manager.
