Leadenhall Search & Selection is working with a market leading healthcare tech player in NYC as they seek to grow their legal team. The General Counsel is looking to hire an ambitious attorney as Associate General Counsel in NYC.
About The Role
This individual will lead our efforts across all healthcare regulatory and privacy, but also be the policy and government affairs lead. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, exceptional legal acumen, a strategic mindset to navigate the complex regulatory environment, and a desire to impact healthcare policy in a manner that expands access to care for those who need it most.
Responsibilities
- Advise on healthcare regulations, including telehealth, reimbursement, licensure, and scope of practice.
- Provide guidance on privacy laws, including HIPAA and state-specific regulations.
- Oversee and collaborate with outside counsel on healthcare regulatory and privacy issues.
- Lead policy function, monitoring legislative developments and coordinating external policy support.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years legal experience in a law firm or in-house setting
- Experience in healthcare policy, ideally with experience in policy advocacy or government affairs.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Salary : $200,000 - $240,000
