Installation of various vehicle interior/exterior parts.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of all non-electrical interior/exterior components and hardware
- Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled
- Meet all QA and QC standards for each task
- Function with a minimal amount of supervision
- Close attention to detail
- Meet the standards of safety and 5S standards
- Promote the use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture
- Be compliant with the rules of conduct and the attendance policy
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- Must be able to prioritize work
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, layout, and other written or verbal instructions presented in English
- Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices
- Familiar with various tools; drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router
- Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
- Ability to recognize the quality expected and be able to reproduce it
Education and Experience:
- One to Two 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

While performing the duties of this job:
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 # pounds
- The employee is regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.

- Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding
- Ability to stand at a workstation for 10 hours a day
- Ability to safely use specified hand, air, and power tools and machinery
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to work with arms above head.
- Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions (must wear PPE)
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration, and the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Personal Protective Equipment Recommended and/or Required on Production Floor:
- Safety Glasses
- Earplugs
- Work gloves when needed
- Use a dust mask when needed
- Closed-toed shoes
- Knee pads
The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is between $22 - $29. This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role.
