Summary
The Teacher Assistant / Office Support, supports the Teachers and the Directors by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment as a Team Lead. Assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, Teacher Assistant team lead are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Directors. Team Lead is responsible for opening center and supervise while Directors are away.
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Refilling chemicals for teachers, assisting the Directors, floats in the classroom
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Must earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential by December 2019
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.

About Us
Our services are tailored to meet the needs of children and their families. We begin our programming for children as young as 6 weeks old and continue until their 13th birthday. Our hours of operation are quite accommodating. Some centers open at 5:30am or 6:00am until 6pm. Our employees are also educated to handle emergency situations. All of them hold certifications in both first aid and CPR.
Salary : $12 - $16
