Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AVP - Telecom for a high-impact Sales/New Business role to drive growth and new business acquisition within the Telecom sector. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while building strong relationships with key clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development, with a proven ability to deliver results and drive revenue in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Lead the efforts in identifying and acquiring new business opportunities in the Telecom sector. Drive sales and partnerships to contribute to the company’s revenue growth.
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to identify and pursue new customers, expanding the company's presence in the Telecom market.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at prospective clients. Position the company as a trusted partner.
- Sales Execution: Take ownership of the sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, proposal development, to closing deals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (technical, marketing, etc.) to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of clients.
- Market Research & Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities in the Telecom sector to identify new opportunities and keep offerings relevant.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed new business acquisition targets and contribute to overall company growth.
- Reporting: Regularly report on progress, pipeline status, and business development metrics to senior leadership.

- Experience: 20 years of experience in new business development, sales, or hunting roles, ideally within Telecom. Candidates from other verticals (e.g., IT, Tech, Enterprise) with a strong background in sales and business acquisition are welcome.
- Proven Track Record: Strong history of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving new business, especially in competitive, fast-paced industries.
- Leadership Skills: Experience working in leadership roles, mentoring teams, and managing complex sales processes.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Telecom industry, its challenges, and opportunities. Ability to quickly adapt and transition from other verticals.
