Our thriving and highly regarded Life Plan senior living campus, located in the heart of beautiful Sarasota, Florida, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team. Position Overview:
The COO will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), ensuring exceptional quality of care and service across independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care levels. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a passion for senior living, strong operational expertise, and a proven track record in CCRC management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the campus, ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to enhance the resident experience, maintain financial stability, and promote long-term growth.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, department heads, and the Board of Directors to align operational initiatives with the community’s mission and vision.
- Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring and empowering department leaders to uphold high standards in resident care and services.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including maintaining a strong focus on quality assurance, risk management, and safety protocols.
- Oversee financial performance, identify opportunities for cost-efficiency, and ensure operational goals are met.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and the broader Sarasota community.
Qualifications:
- Current Florida Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license – required.
- Extensive experience in a CCRC or Life Plan Community with proven success in operational leadership.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living or healthcare management.
- Strong knowledge of senior living regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to promoting an environment of compassion, respect, and service excellence.
