Position Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Inspector I with experience in aerospace parts to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for ensuring our products meet stringent quality standards through thorough inspections and detailed documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace components using various tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance.
- Document inspection results, including non-conformance reports, and communicate findings to the quality and production teams.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 is a plus.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and understanding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a bonus.

Physical Requirements:
- The work is primarily performed in an office environment, requiring the ability to operate standard office equipment and perform repetitive motions with the hands and wrists.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Occasional walking between facilities, outdoors, and through production areas, with potential exposure to equipment noise and the need for PPE (such as safety glasses).
- Ability to climb stairs and move throughout the workplace as needed.
